The soul Sam was responsible for retrieving was a little out of the ordinary because he kept escaping. Who was helping him escape was a mystery for a while. The soul managed to strike a deal with Gladys to allow him out. Whenever Sam brought the vessel back to the DMV, Gladys would let the guy out.
The sham green card marriage finally came to an end. And poor Ben got ripped off and I knew it would happen. ... Read More

After so many good things had happened between Sam and Andi, the last person I expected to see was Greg, the college student who had been pursuing Andi several episodes back.
Greg's decision to trade his soul to The Devil in exchange for the ability to make Andi love him was a pretty crazy thing to do. Of course it wasn't quite so cut and dry. Whenever Greg would get angry, a crazy person dressed up as a killer from a ... Read More

It finally came time for Andi to learn the truth about Sam's secret life... living life as a reaper. Thankfully, the revelation did generate an honest response from Andi. I've been a little disappointed by some of the reactions to certain events that some of the characters have experienced.
Sam, Sock, and Ben went on another soul hunt. They tried to capture a guy who ran his own sperm bank and used his own sperm. The big trick to ... Read More

Catching this week's soul on Reaper seemed far too easy for the guys. It took all of two seconds to find, fight, and capture the lawyer. Much of this episode was dedicated to the plot to kill The Devil, which proved much more interesting.
Kill The Devil by kindness? That would take forever and there's no way to know if it would work. That idea was kind of laughable.
Ray Wise as The Devil
And then to learn that The Devil ... Read More

The news that Tony and Steve are demons had the guys in an uncomfortable position this week. Sam, Sock, and Ben did their best to avoid the fellas, but Sam finally came clean about why he and his friends didn't want to spend time around them. Steve and Tony don't appear to be all bad, though. In face, one of them saved Sam's life when he was under attack by an escaped soul.
Speaking of which, Sam had to go ... Read More

I had a hard time believing that Sam didn't think of the soul as being invisible. The Devil even said that no one saw the soul before. This was an obvious clue in my opinion. Sam and Sock manage to borrow all sorts of gear from The Work Bench: security cameras, motion sensors, paintball guns, etc, all to catch this soul. They did have a good time freaking out Ted, however. He was a nervous wreck when ... Read More

Sam's ability to move things with extreme force returned with "Hungry For Fame" as he threw Sock across the parking lot at The Work Bench. This ability would come in handy when he was tasked with apprehending another soul.
The soul of the week was a cannibal who returned to eat a few more victims. While being introduced to the case, Sam also found that The Devil was trying to acquire a new soul via a new deal. A loser ... Read More

I'm quite pleased by the fact that Cady (Jessica Stroup) wasn't a one episode character. I thought that hot tub scene where Ben and Sock asked her to remove her clothes so that they could check her for any mark of the beast was very funny.
Jessica Stroupe as Cady, Bret Harrison as Sam Oliver, Tyler Labine as Sock and Rick Gonzalez as Ben
The soul of the week had the boys going after two souls in fact, a pair of bank robbers ... Read More

From a comedy point of view, this episode of Reaper wasn't quite as strong as some of the previous episodes have been. Instead, I found this to be more of a dramatic episode.
The soul of the week was that of a funeral home director who used to sell body parts before cremating the deceased. This was a little morbid for my taste. The former funeral home director was forced to declare bankruptcy when he was found out and he ... Read More

I like it when I see a familiar face on TV shows. And Mitch Pileggi is definitely a familiar face thanks to his many years on The X-Files. He played a detective who is well known for solving high profile cases. He arrested Sam when Sam accidentally used a taser on him.
Let's backtrack a little... Sam's latest escaped soul is a serial killer. he was tried, convicted, and then executed for his crimes. He now escaped Hell ... Read More
