I've always had mixed feelings about "High Impact." Looking it at it once again, I find myself still a little torn about what is a somewhat boring investigation, but a much more impressive character story. The story of Nash looking for the crazed bomber may have sounded good in theory, but in practice, it doesn't do much for me. There just wasn't anything interesting about the bomber.

Skirt Chasers is what I would have to describe as the typical episode of Nash Bridges. Sure, it doesn't have a few of the elements that later seasons would have, but this featured colorful characters, a good investigation, and a steady stream of marital issues. All of these are things that would remain a constant throughout the series.

The opening of this episode shows Nash Bridges just about to go to sleep when he receives a phone call alerting him of a home invasion. I think this is an idea that a lot of people have of police inspectors/detectives and it's a fairly accurate one. You never know when you're going to get called in for a new case.

I was very excited when I heard Nash Bridges was finally coming to DVD. It's not like it was out on DVD and I was holding off for a Blu-Ray upgrade or anything. I really enjoyed the series when it aired on CBS, starting in 1996.
