I haven’t been too shy lately about how bad My Name is Earl has gotten. It’d be nice to tell you that this episode of Earl got the show back on track, but unfortunately if I did that I’d be lying; while a slight improvement over the last episode it still adds more of that bad taste that we’re starting to expect from My Name is Earl.
This episode feels like another cop-out for Earl as a character. I don’t see the point ... Read More

There was a hope at the beginning of the season that My Name is Earl would return with a great season; especially considering the failure that was last season. Unfortunately this season is nowhere near great. This episode was another example of how stale the show has become. After an episode like this, I find myself losing all interest in Earl and his friends.
“Nature’s Game show” is an episode that dabbles in religion a little bit. My Name is Earl and religion ... Read More

My Name is Earl has been disappointing this season. It borders from being okay to barely being good this season. Most of this episode revolves around the memory of Earl and Joy’s marriage and in the process, it ends up feeling like the writers are trying to rewrite My Name Is Earl history.
Earl comes into the Crab Shack to fix a dent that he put in the counter years ago. It’s not really made clear whether this was on his list, but ... Read More

My Name is Earl is finding itself with somewhat of a dilemma this season. Last season, they did too much and took Earl away from the list, so to fix this problem the writers have made Earl focus on his list. The problem with this is that it does take us back to the first couple seasons of the show, but this is season 4, so you have to kind of give us a little something more than just the first couple ... Yes, unfortunately we do get these types of episodes of My Name is Earl every now and then. This episode doesn’t really show any growth in any of the characters and is merely there to entertain us. Unfortunately, there were some good moments, but overall it was merely a decent affair.
This week, Earl takes on the daunting task of crossing off two things off his list. Now crossing off one thing takes up a whole episode so trying to fit two things ... Read More

We’ve seen nothing but positive things happen from Earl doing his list. With this episode, Earl finds out that there are some bad things that come along with doing the list.
With Randy’s birthday coming up, Earl uses it as a way to cross never letting “Randy get anything better then me” off his list. Earl gets Randy a new car that looks better then his. When Earl goes to show Randy his new car, it’s been stolen. In Camden county, there’s a ... Read More

On this week’s Earl, Earl crosses Randy off his list, by helping him realize his dream of becoming a cheerleader. With a good guest appearance and some funny moments through out, it’s another good episode for this season of Earl.
I’ve said it before, but one of the cool things about this season of Earl is how fluently the show goes into what Earl is going to do next for the episode. There’s been some cool sequences before hand that just has Earl ... Read More

Venturing on through season 4 of Earl, we're still on the list, but one can't help but feel a sense of deja' vu. This season of Earl essentially feels like season one of Earl with almost no differences. This episode attempts to cross "sleeping with Sweet Johnny's girlfriend" off his list. The result of this episode ends up being far less than the episodes before it, but had it's moments.
Joy getting carjacked gets Earl to attempt to cross "sleeping with Sweet Johnny's ... Read More

Earl is only three episodes in to this season and it’s already proving to be better then last season. Getting Earl back to his list has proven to be a winning formula so far. This episode had the humor that we usually expect from Earl and having John Amos and Jerry Van Dyke just added to the fun of this episode.
It’s interesting how Earl is choosing which things to do on his list now. In the first two seasons, he was going ... Read More

Earl's season opener was in my opinion an average affair and even though it's good to see them return to the old format of Earl completing the list, it didn't offer anything new, so therefore it was a good episode, but just not anything to cheer about.
This episode would have served better as the season opener, because it continued the old formula, but what it has that the last episode didn't was heart. This week Earl finds a used hot tub sitting ... Read More
