Fall television has come and gone, leaving us with a cornucopia of terrible reality shows and just a handful of TV shows worth watching. I asked our writers to let me know what they will be watching this summer. We would love your picks as well. You can leave a comment in the box below.

I was really shocked when USA canceled both The Dead Zone and The 4400. Although The Dead Zone had seen better days and ... Read More

Following the sad news about Stanley Kamel's death word comes from USA that they have found a new therapist for former San Francisco detective Adrian Monk. Veteran actor Hector Elizondo has signed on for a recurring role as Monk's new therapist.
How the story is handled by the writers should be very interesting. Adrian hasn't done well when people close to him [namely Trudy] die. He and Dr. Kroger had become so close over the years that news of his ... Read More

Last year, the season releases of Monk Season 5 and Psych Season 1 were offered on an individual basis as well as a double pack. It was a tremendous savings for those of us who were fans of both shows. It looks like the same thing is being done this year. I saw Amazon and a few other sites are offering Monk Season 6 and Psych Season 2 in a combo pack for a reduced price. Read More

One of the few recurring stars on the USA Network series Monk is Stanley Kamel. Kamel has played Adrian Monk's therapist, Dr. Kroger since the beginning of the show. Sadly, Stanley Kamel has passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 65.
Although he wasn't a main character, Dr. Kroger has been a pretty important person in Monk's life. With the next season the final one, I'm really curious as to how the writers are going to ... Read More

According to TVShowsonDVD.com, the first season of Burn Notice will be out on June 3rd, just three days before my birthday. It ought to be a nice present for myself, but the rumored price is shocking. Fifty dollars for twelve episodes. Holy crap! That's the sort of inflated price I would expect to find on a season box set of CSI, not Burn Notice.
I hope the price changes because even after a store discount, that's much more than ... Read More

Just last week I mentioned the first season of Burn Notice would be out on DVD in a few months. Well, I just learned that a series of books is now scheduled for release as well. Tod Goldberg signed a three book deal with Penguin to write the books. Tod has been working on the first book since December.
The first book, The Fix is scheduled for release on August fifth.
I've noticed that these kinds of books, ones based on ... Read More

To the surprise of no one, Monk was renewed for a seventh season. What is surprising is that season seven will likely be the last one. According to reports, the series is getting very expensive to produce. Keep in mind that Tony Shalhoub just got a new contract, so I'm wondering how much of the show's cost is to keep him onboard. It's not like they could dump him; he's integral to the show.
With the end of the ... Read More

As we begin tonight's episode, we find Natalie and Adrian waiting outside Dr. Kroger's office. Natalie is reading the newspaper when she comes across a new article about "The Frisco Fly," a man who dresses up in a costume and climbs tall buildings in the city. While Natalie seems to be fascinated by the daredevil, Adrian is more focused on the fact that Harold Krenshaw's session with Dr. Kroger is running long. As Adrian pokes his head inside the ...
