When the networks do their upfronts each year, there is always a show or two that catches my eye, either because it sounds like something I'll like or it's something I know has no chance of being successful. It was a mere two weeks ago that the hit series Lost completed its fourth season on ABC. It was a very different season to say the least. It's been a very long time since there was a season premiere as anticipated as Lost's season four. Not only have we got the WGA on strike which is limiting the amount of scripted shows we get to see, but it's consistently one of the best shows on television. In the Looking Glass, Mikhail asks about a code and the possibility of the station flooding. He then shoots Greta and Bonnie. Before he can finish off one of the women, Desmond comes out of hiding and harpoons Mikhail. Ben tells Jack about the raid on the camp. The first part of the season finale opens with Jack on a plane. He asks for another drink and reads a paper. He's saddened to find an article in the paper. With everyone aware of the upcoming attack on the beach, the crash survivors are quite concerned. Tonight's episode starts off with Carl getting into a small outrigger and paddling off across the ocean. Back to the jungle, Jack has gathered most of the survivors and shows off part of his plan. Lost has been in the news recently because ABC and the producers of the show have agreed on when to end the show. It seems they'll be ending it sometime in 2010 according to this article. There will be three, shortened seasons of sixteen episodes each. The episodes will air consecutively, repeat-free, from February to May. I'm just fine with this plan. After the female parachutist was saved by Mikhail in the previous episode, viewers were shocked by what she had to say to Hurley about Flight 815... "they found the plane" and "there were no survivors". Beach After Sawyer and Kate have sex, Kate wants to leave and go back to her own tent.
