The identity of the mysterious character known as Jacob has never been revealed... until now. Jacob was portrayed by the terrific Mark Pellegrino, whom I will always remember from Dexter. By having Jacob appear so early in this episode, the writers shocked me and I was only drawn in further by the fact that the man next to Jacob on the beach was Jacob's unnamed enemy. And if that weren't enough, we finally got to see the entire statue. ... Read More

Since being reborn on the island, John Locke has had a definite attitude adjustment. Locke has always been confident of himself, but he's arrogant these days and I don't don't particularly care for the Locke 2.0. This new personality did manage to change some of the dynamics on the island when he was dealing with Benjamin Linus and Richard Alpert, however. Locke's barking orders really surprised the two of them.
With Daniel Faraday dead (for now, at least), it was ... Read More

Any time a Daniel Faraday-centric episode is scheduled, I take special note. These tend to be few and far between, but are also some of the best episodes in the season. Faraday is a special character and I think Jeremy Davies does a spectacular job in the role. Davies plays his character better than just about anyone else on the show.
Faraday came up with an interesting idea about how to prevent everything from happening: blow up the hydrogen bomb ... Read More

I never thought we were going to get another Miles-centric episode. I honestly had given up hope for it. I have always been curious to learn more about him, where he came from, who his parents are, etc. So to learn that his parents were on the island came as quite a shock to me.
The biggest shock was that Miles' father was none other than Pierre Chang (also known as Dr. Marvin Candle, Dr. Mark Wickmund and Dr. Edgar ... Read More

Wow, who didn't love this episode?! Lost has had a really good season thus far, but "Dead is Dead" took it to a whole new level with Ben's Judgment Day. The ending was quite a surprise.
Since I write previews of this series for IGN, I have an idea of what's going to happen in each episode. This can sometimes ruin the experience of watching Lost and I suppose if I didn't write for IGN, I may enjoy this series ... Read More

With so many new characters being introduced, it's been a while since Kate got her own episode and I figure it was excellent timing. I've been really curious about what she did with Aaron. There have been a lot of rumors, but "Whatever Happened, Happened" finally put some of those rumors to rest.
On the island, everyone was reeling from the fact that Ben was shot, but surprisingly, the only people who seemed to be affected were Ben and his father, ... Read More

It's been a while since Lost had a Sayid-centric episode and I couldn't imagine better timing for it given Sayid's current predicament on the island. Things haven't been looking good for the former Iraqi torturer. He was shown handcuffed and is now jailed by the good DHARMA folks.
What has Sayid been up to? As it turns out, he was caught by a bounty hunter. Ilana is finally identified as a bounty hunter, hired by the family of Peter ... Read More

With Jack, Kate, and Hurley waiting for Sawyer to help them, I was curious how well Sawyer was going to be able to pull this off. He's obviously got the trust of many of the DHARMA people, but saying that these three were from the submarine could have been difficult to do. Thankfully, Juliet helped Sawyer out with that, but I'm also surprised by the fact that Sawyer didn't tell her what was going on when he dashed out of ... Read More

Ever since seeing Jin in that Dharma uniform a few weeks back, I was curious to find out just how he managed to find his way into that mess. Where did he find the uniform and why would he be wearing it? These questions were finally answered this week with a terrific episode in "LaFleur."
In a recent Lost podcast, producer Carlton Cuse claimed that the word LaFleur would be someone's name, but they didn't drop any clues as to who ... Read More

It was well set up to be the episode in which we all find out how Locke became Jeremy Bentham. When Ben told Jack that he was unaware of how John passed, I suspected he was lying and I was proven right last night.
One of the issues I have been interested in seeing resolved is why not everyone must come back. Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley, and Sun were those who reported to the plane, yet Walt is still alive. ... Read More
