Having gotten tired of Nate's drinking, the rest of the Leverage team have decided to stage an intervention. However, instead of sending Nate to rehab, they decide to get revenge on Ian Blackpoole, the CEO of the insurance company which denied the treatment which would have saved Nate's son, Sam.
Ripping off the CEO got more difficult for the crew when Nate's ex-wife, Maggie, showed up. She has been working as Ian's art inspector for some time and has no idea ... Read More

Coming off of a few weeks of dealing with Nate's drinking, this episode put much of the focus on the rest of the team. I liked Nate's role this week. The writers had him in control of the situation, without pushing him out there, taking all the spotlight. In fact, Parker and Hardison assumed a fair bit of the responsibility for this episode.
This case came to Team Leverage in a fairly unusual way. Parker's fake identity received jury ... Read More

The pilot episode introduced us to Nate Ford (Timothy Hutton) and we all saw that he was a drunk, but I didn't expect it would become a problem on the show. In recent weeks, it's become an issue, not just between Nate and Sophie, but Nate's drinking has upset Eliot too.
The new job of the week had Team Leverage helping a guy with a drinking problem. He ripped off a charity and a few international gangs to boot. They're ... Read More

"The Snow Job" wasn't nearly as exciting as "The Mile High Job" and therefore doesn't get the high marks it would otherwise have received. The Leverage team took on a new case involving a National Guardsman who lost his house when he was doing a tour of duty overseas. He and his family lost their house to the contractor they hired to do some renovations following the Katrina disaster.
This was another job that really pulled at your heart. I ... Read More

I'm still trying to catch up with my Leverage reviews, but it's taking longer than I expected it would. In "The Mile High Job", the Leverage team take on a case which seems to be similar to that of Nate's. His son lost his life due to a corporation and here, we have a child who seems to be able to die because a corporation essentially purchased a bunch of researchers to say that their fertilizer was safe when they ... I can't say that I was very surprised by Nate's initial reaction when he heard he may have to rip off the mob. That's a very scary and intimidating thing to do. The mob has a certain reputation and it's usually for a good reason. That being said, I always knew Nate would go through with it.
Getting into the family's mansion went according to plan. At this point, I already know how things are going to happen. ... Read More

Last week's Leverage wasn't quit what I had expected when it comes to Parker (Beth Riesgraf). Parker often comes across as somewhat childish but is quite funny. I really like her character. She's just adorable.
I do believe that it has been previously established that Parker came from a foster background and it only seems obvious that she would encounter children like her.
Beth Riesgraf as Parker
The scam done by the team was very good and worked out well... too well ... Read More

This week's episode of Leverage had an unusual start. Right away, it started with the crew half-way through a job conning a corrupt judge out of his money. And then they found themselves involved in a bank robbery. It's hard to imagine why Nate would just stay there and watch it unfold without leaving. It just didn't make any sense.
Any mystery as to why the two men were holding up the bank was dispelled immediately. As soon ... Read More

It seems all too convenient sometimes when Nate and his team end up helping someone from their past. This week, Nate gets a call from his ex-wife who tells him that one of Nate's best friends from his youth was attacked. It turns out that Nate's old friend (Father Paul) is a priest for St. Nicholas church. The church has been bought and is about to be closed because the new owner is just looking to tear it down ... The gang was really off to the races this week as they helped a horse trainer acquire a horse who barely escaped a fire. This episode looked to be wrapped up in the first ten minutes but thanks to some clever writing, Leverage proved to be an excellent new drama.
We're now getting into some of the backstories of some of our characters and it stars with Eliot Spencer. He runs into a girl he almost married some time back, but ... Read More
