I have to give the show credit for an interesting episode name, a play on the book "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick. That was perhaps the best part of this episode. "The Plateau" has to be considered one of the best episodes in Fringe's three season history. There's no getting around it: the entire episode was fascinating to watch. The opening sequence of scenes showing Milo (Michael Eklund) setting up a deadly chain of events had me hooked immediately. Secretary Bishop a.k.a. Walternate (John Noble) finally offered Broyles (Lance Reddick) some insight into his plans for Olivia (Anna Torv). Knowing Olivia can travel between worlds, unharmed, Bishop wants to know how. ... After last week's season opener, which detailed the events taking place "over there," we were back home for this week's new episode, entitled "The Box." With the fake Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) being over here, it's a little uncomfortable to watch Olivia right now. Knowing the "real" Olivia is in the other world and that the one we see now is the other one, it makes all of Olivia's actions suspect. Of all the major network shows making their return this week, Fringe is easily the one I've been most looking forward to. Learning of and then seeing the other universe was pretty incredible. Season two really had me intrigued as it went along. It's episodes like "Snakehead" that make me wonder if the writers are doing the right thing by including all of these episodes that don't really tie into the show's anthology. With the ratings dropping, I can't help but wonder if this is going to be Fringe's final season. "Snakehead" was hands-down one of the most disgusting episodes we've seen and Fringe has had some disturbing episodes. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this episode. "August" was an interesting episode, but it lacked the punch that I was expecting to eventually come. I somehow expected a big reveal and it never happened. "August" centered on a group of people we know relatively little about: The Observers. We really only knew of one coming into this episode, but "August" let it be known that there are several of them, each tasked with observing people and events. One ... Read More

"Of Human Action" had several of the elements that I enjoy in Fringe, but the fact that I was able to figure out that Tyler was behind his own kidnapping really hurt this episode. There wasn't a whole lot of mystery behind it. Every time something crazy happened Tyler was right there. It was clear that the supposed kidnappers were just there for the ride, so to speak. "Earthling" was without a doubt one of the creepiest episodes I've seen on television, and yet I was glued to my chair. This brought back fond memories of The X-Files, which had quite a few alien type episodes. This reminded me of a couple of episodes in particular, but this still stayed within the confines of Fringe and didn't necessarily feel like a clone of one of those episodes. I can't believe I've fallen this far behind in my Fringe watching. I was keeping up until the MLB playoffs and then I managed to fall behind by four episodes. I don't know how that happened. The last time we saw Fringe brought about the death of Charlie Francis. Charlie was a likable character, but the character was fairly one-dimensional.
