Now that the holidays are over Desperate Housewives is back. The episode before the break was a good one that advanced overarching plots and gave us some good moments. With the new year, I was hoping for the momentum to carry on, but unfortunately it seems like Desperate Housewives has indeed hit another bump in the road.
Since this is my first review of the new year, we’ll start off with the bad and end with the good. This week our favorite exaggerator ... Read More

In the beginning of the episode, we’re informed that there will be a fire and that someone will be arrested. We also know that Blue Odyssey (Dave’s band) will be playing when the fire goes off. Starting an episode does somewhat ruin the buildup when you already know what’s going to happen. There were some interesting things that happened this episode.
Desperate Housewives is really moving plots along fast this season, because right from the beginning, Lynette learns that Ann is pregnant with ... Read More

For a while it felt like Desperate Housewives had gone off track with its less than interesting plots that lasted one episode and some very weird and disturbing situations involving some of the characters. Last episode started a change in Desperate Housewives and this episode returns Desperate Housewives back to the show we’ve enjoyed watching for so many seasons.; It finally feels like Desperate Housewives has hit it’s stride.
It was great; this episode continues from where the last one left off with ... Read More

I can’t say that Desperate Housewives is at the top of its game this season because quite frankly it hasn’t. Desperate Housewives has been missing a lot of the key elements that made it great in the first place; one of them was interesting and long lasting storylines. This episode corrects a good deal of these mistakes with some new interesting storylines.
Susan and Jackson broke up a week ago and Susan wants to get back with him. After talking to her new ... Read More

When Desperate Housewives started this season, the timeline had advanced five years with things changed. This episode serves as a way of filling us in what went on during the five years to bring our couples to this point.
In present day, Gabby thinks she’s pregnant. During the five years we see how Gabby found out she was pregnant the first two times unexpectedly. I had forgotten that Gabby was deemed unable to carry children after she took the tumble down the stairs ... Read More

I was a big fan of the five year jump on Desperate Housewives. The cast and crew did a great job of advancing Wisteria Lane by five years. While episodes this season have been good, this episode actually left me in a confused state and for the first time this season, I’m actually worried about the future of this season.
Gabby and Carlos haven’t had any time to themselves since the kids came along. So Gabby’s new idea to get this time is ... Read More

Advancing time by five years on Desperate Housewives has proven to be a good formula. By advancing time though, you have to create new storylines, because five years is too much time to really continue any of the previous storylines. At this point, we get what the overall plot is, which is Edie’s new husband Dave and what his agenda is. Things are developing slowly on Desperate Housewives and this episode simply wasn’t anything special.
Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t remember ... Read More

Last week we were introduced to Wisteria Lane five years later, and while things changed, there was a lot that stayed the same. Desperate Housewives is well known that it’s a show that gives us different situations for the characters to delve into while maintaining an overall plot that'll affect the whole street. The overall plot is still developing slowly, but the situations that the characters find themselves in are satisfying enough.
It’s odd how this season the housewives of Wisteria Lane are ... Read More

Desperate Housewives dared to be different last season and took its storyline and jumped five years later. A lot of people said that it was “jumping the shark” and I have to admit I was a bit skeptical of this decision too, but I have to say that if this is jumping the shark, then Desperate Housewives has really changed the definition of it.
This episode mostly served as a way to introduce us to the characters five years later. Yeah, sure we ... Read More
