Last we saw "burned" spy Michael Weston he was driving down the Over Seas Highway south from Miami where he encountered a strange sight: no traffic and a parked semi-trailer with a ramp leading up into it. Burn Notice wrapped up its first season with a solid two-hour episode, which was full of action and drama. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the episode was put together. It started a little slow, but the pace picked up before too long. In the previous episode, we knew how anxious Michael was to meet with Philip Cowan, the man from the NSA supposedly responsible for his being burned. Two of my very favorite TV shows on USA will be getting two relatively famous women for a few guest spots. Battlestar Galactica star Tricia Helfer will joining Burn Notice for a few episodes. She'll be playing Carla, Michael's handler. To protect those close to him, Michael reportedly has to work for Carla. Just the other day, I blogged about the price of the first season DVD box set of Burn Notice. I was hoping for some sort of mistake, but it's now official. It ought to be a nice present for myself, but the rumored price is shocking. Fifty dollars for twelve episodes. Holy crap!
