So where’s Peter Bishop? It’s hard to say. As you can expect, we’re likely not going to see much of Peter, who is played by Joshua Jackson.

Speaking of Joshua Jackson, here’s an interview IGN did with him at Comic-Con, where he talks about what to expect from this season and how much the producers tell him about the mind-blowing story.

So what are your theories? Joshua Jackson asked all of the questions we have… what are the answers?

As for the room inside the Statue of Liberty, it’s going to serve as a portal of sorts for VIPs to cross to and fro. This bridge will remain secret from the general public.

The channels without the (Digital View Plus) designation are all standard, expanded basic channels. The Digital View Plus is a separate package which costs $10 or so more each month.

Their Switched Digital Video upgrade appears to be a success, but I have noticed “network” problems on the tuning adapter during primetime while trying to access a few of the channels. I hope Charter is able to work those problems out of the system.

Don’t be surprised if more HD channels are added within the next 30 days. I suspect Charter has more in the pipeline. The only major news station missing at the moment is CNN HD and I’m surprised by that omission.

My local Charter branch added a bunch of new HD channels after upgrading the network to Switched-Digital-Video (SDV), which will help in the bandwidth department. As for which HD channels Charter added, here’s the list:

It’s not a huge list, but it’s a nice start. I already had a decent lineup to start. It’s nice to finally get some of the news channels, but I was surprised to see CNN not make the cut. Of the channels making the cut, I’m most excited about AMC because of the movies and the original TV shows they’re producing now.

In the press release, Wright and Cooper say, “In Universe, we plan to keep those elements that have made the franchise a success, such as adventure and humor, while breaking new ground in the relationships between mostly young and desperate explorers, thrust together and far from home. Above all, we believe the Stargate itself remains an enduring icon with infinite potential as a jumping off point for telling stories.”

After unlocking the mystery of the Stargate’s ninth chevron, a team of explorers travels to an unmanned starship called the Destiny, launched by The Ancients at the height of their civilization as a grand experiment set in motion, but never completed.

What starts as a simple reconnaissance turns into a never ending mission, as the Stargate Universe crew discovers the ship is unable to return to Earth, and they must now fend for themselves aboard the Destiny.

The crew will travel to the far reaches of the universe, connecting with each of the previously launched Stargates, thus fulfilling the Destiny’s original mission. Challenges will arise though as the ship comes into range of Stargates placed centuries ahead of the Destiny and the crew is unable to control the ship’s navigational schedule. If someone is left behind, there is no way to go back for them, adding to the drama of encountering new races, enemies and adventures.

But there is some good news from all of this. There will be a two-hour movie to follow the conclusion of the fifth season, though we don’t know what the plot of it will be yet.

Co-creators of the Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper said, “We’re excited to tell Atlantis stories on a bigger canvas. The successes of the two original Stargate DTV movies The Ark of Truth and Continuum have shown us the opportunities that the movie format offers. We have plans for both SG-1 and Atlantis to remain vital as we expand the franchise.”

Fish is a pretty big name to join the case and I’m betting CBS is excited to see someone of his stature join the show… think of the ratings bump and ad revenue.

Fishburne will play a former pathologist who is now working as an itinerant college lecturer, teaching a course in criminalistics. His focus is on understanding criminal behavior, how and why people commit acts of violence – tendencies he disturbingly sees within himself. In the course of a murder investigation, he comes into contact with the CSI team and ultimately joins the Las Vegas Crime Lab as a Level-1 CSI.
