This episode had me laughing more than most Big Bang episodes, which is no small feat. It all starts with Leonard, Raj, and Wolowitz who are camped out in the desert awaiting a meteor shower. They note that it’s a shame Sheldon couldn’t come with them before unanimously breaking out in a mocking laugh. In a similar scenario back at Sheldon and Leonard’s apartment, Sheldon notes that his research is going well but he misses his friends, then laughs at his own ... Read More

So this is the argument episode. Penny and Leonard’s relationship was going too smoothly for TV land so they threw in a fight. The fun all starts when Penny, Leonard, and Sheldon are sitting around playing Sheldon’s homemade board game, Research Lab. Its slogan is “the physics is theoretical but the fun is real.” Naturally Penny and Leonard are bored out of their minds and looking for a way out of having to play it again. Leonard looks to Penny for an ... Read More

I think one of the best things about this show is that it usually keeps me laughing, regardless of what is going on. I also appreciate how it stays smart without riding up its own ass. “The Cornhusker Vortex” does all this while dealing with important topics such as relationships, kite fighting, football, and Cylon toast. It’s basically and Penny and Leonard episode at the center but it also deals with the odd couple like relationship that Wolowitz and Raj have built ... Read More

I keep trying to think of ways for The Big Bang Theory to get more geek-tastic and I don’t think there’s a way. In one episode we have a fantasy card playing game, talk of Green Lantern action figures, and a former Star Trek star appearing as himself. Though still employing standard sitcom elements, it’s the nerd-factor that makes the show so engaging and adds a little individuality.
So, “The Creepy Candy Coating Corollary” is pretty much split into two separate storylines. The ... Read More

Another episode of The Big Bang Theory has come and gone and once again it has left me laughing my butt off. The episode was in large part a Koothrappali episode and those always tend to be funny. Every season Raj gets a couple episodes that put him in the lime light and pull him away from his usual role as Wolowitz’s partner in crime. The shift in focus from Penny and Leonard to one of the other characters really helps the ... Read More

Way to go Vampire Diaries for deciding to step up their game in a big way. The series as a whole hasn’t been too shabby but “Lost Girls” is probably the best episode so far. Storylines were at their peak, characters weren’t annoying, and I didn’t get bored once. It was a big improvement from last week’s episode. It seemed like so many things finally came to a head and the end result was highly gratifying.
So Elena has had the realization that ... Read More

So I was both pleased and disappointed by this episode. It had a lot of good qualities to it but it also had a few that were... not so good. Some characters continued to hold my attention while others flat lined. Elena and Stefan held the show which is good because they’re our main characters and if they get boring we have a problem. As far as storyline, “You’re Undead to Me,” flowed well. Though some of the side storylines are taking ... Read More

Tattoo sleeves, Goth chicks, and chocolate-based behavior modification - these are just a few of the reasons why The Big Bang Theory is proving to be my favorite sitcom of the season. I really couldn’t stop laughing during this episode, and after thinking about why that was, I have come to the conclusion that it was the comedic timing of the cast. As far as storylines go it was a pretty typical episode, nothing extra special, but after a couple of years ... Read More

The Vampire Diaries is doing its best to keep from getting boring and with scandalous, blood-sucking drama at ever turn, it’s succeeding. Now heading into its fourth week, “Family Ties” begins to lay the ground work for the story arcs and plotlines that will work their way through, what I’m imagining will be, the entire season. The Founder’s Party works as the focal point of this episode, gathering all our central characters in one location and shedding some much needed light on ... Read More

“The Jiminy Conjecture”... aptly named considering much of the episode was devoted to tracking down and identifying a rogue cricket. It’s funny to me how I’m able to be entertained by such an odd and ridiculous storyline, and had this been any other show, I probably would have changed the channel after the first commercial. However, with these characters you can almost buy any storyline because it’s the dialogue that cracks you up along the way. The Big Bang Theory has always ... Read More
