Well this is definitely interesting, because we got another good episode of Ugly Betty. It really seems like the writers have snapped out of their funk and we’re back to the way Ugly Betty is supposed to be.
I like Betty being in Yeti; it allows her to do things that she would have never done before. Bernadette Peters is hilarious in the little roles she gets every once and a while and I loved the little trick she pulled on everyone when ... Read More

The past couple of episodes of Ugly Betty have really been a doozy, but with “The Courtship of Betty’s Father”, we get an episode that is more focused with a lot more heart to it than we’ve been getting lately.
The episode starts us off with Claire getting busted for shoplifting, which is funny considering she’s one of the richest people in New York. It turns out that it’s Claire’s birthday and it seems she’s just doing it to get some attention. Something ... Read More

Another episode of Betty, slightly better, but far from what I’m used to with this show. This show has given us two great seasons, but it’s starting to look like the writers are running out of good ideas. This was once again just an okay episode, but okay isn’t good enough.
First off, I have to say that Betty, as a character, is really taking steps back in her character development; the beginning of the season had her moving out and now we’re ... Read More

Depending on how you look at it, “Bad Amanda” could easily be looked upon as a throwaway episode, and in a way, it was. One of the redeeming qualities that keep it from falling into the trash heap was that it focused on Amanda, who is one of the more one-dimensional characters on the show.
I’m not sure if I would have ever wanted to see an episode focus on Amanda before this episode and to tell you the truth, I’m not sure ... Read More

Ugly Betty has waned quite a bit this season and it doesn’t get any better with this episode. Not that this episode was awful, but it really felt like a throwaway episode.
I feel like this season of Ugly Betty has been toying around with our beloved character. It seemed like she was moving forward in her career and possibly her love life, but now it doesn’t seem like anything is happening at all. I was very disappointed last episode when Betty ... Read More

“Mafia” was one of the funnier standalone episodes of this season, I can’t remember laughing out loud as many times as in this episode this season and it’s cool that going into its sixth season that the zany adventures of Michael Scott and friends still make me laugh.
I’m not sure, but is this the first episode that Pam and Jim are physically not seen? I didn’t think much had changed with the two out of the office, but Oscar was right -- ... Read More

Most television shows would over-dramatize an episode like this and try to get you to cry. Fortunately, The Office isn’t like most television shows and you can guess that Pam and Jim’s wedding ends up being a huge mess, but there was a lot of laughter to go around.
It’s finally time for Pam and Jim’s big wedding day and it’s great that the writers didn’t keep dragging us along and try to hold off on doing this until somewhere around the ... Read More

"The Promotion" is the first episode where we get to see how Jim and Michael will deal with each other now that they’re both running things at Dunder-Mifflin. With two bosses I wondered if things would change around the office.
Fortunately for the most part nothing has changed, and the opening showed us that as Jim continued to play tricks on Dwight which involved Jim having to put in a complaint about him from Dwight. One of the things that changed is ... Read More

“Blinded by the Light” was a much better installment than the episode that came for it, but it wasn’t good in the usual style that Dexter usually is. It shed more light on Dexter’s inner psyche and his adjustment to being part of the social world.
Rita found that Dexter’s accident was much worse then he initially led on, which lead up to Dexter being driven around all episode. We never saw Dexter drive himself around again for the whole episode; something ... Read More

The Office kept the season rolling with episode two of this fifth season when they put Michael in a very peculiar spot. With Jim and Pam having a baby, it’s nice to see that Jim is looking to advance in his career and decided to put in a plan for promotion with the company. If Jim didn’t get the job, he would leave and go somewhere else. Michael’s desperation to want to be part of everything was funny and his silly idea ... Read More
