Having entirely overlooked the Smith family last week, American Dad return with a "normal" episode which featured stories for each of the characters. Hailey was the center of attention, however, when she was dumped by her boyfriend in the mall. This resulted in Hailey going on a rampage, destroying everything in sight. She seems to react this way when all of her relationships end in such a manner.
Francine and Stan are in luck when Hailey ends up dating Stan's ... Read More

Steve's girlfriend Debbie was put into an awkward position this week when she ran for student council president. She was up against the head cheerleader, Lisa. When Lisa and her group of friends allegedly slander Debbie on a website, Steve goes nuts. It felt like a few movies were referenced in this series of scenes, though none of their names really come to mind at the moment.
Steve was quite surprised to learn that his own friends were the ones ... Read More

I admit that I've fallen far behind on Eleventh Hour reviews, but I'm catching up. This week had the good doctor looking into what is going on when a few autistic children are kidnapped. What makes them even more interesting is that they all seem to have similar brain functionality.
The beginning of the episode featured an interesting moment. We know very little right now about Dr. Jacob Hood, but we got to see him in a moment where he ... Read More

"The man with Two Brians" was not only a funny episode, but it showcased one of the more disturbing scenes I've seen in some time. The episode started with a nod to Jackass as Peter and his friends began immitating some of the crazy stunts performed on the series. Peter's stunts went a little far, putting his health in jeopardy. Brian tried to save him, but needed saving himself.
Peter, what's up with your neck?
From this point on, it was ... Read More

It is well known that Family Guy includes a large number of references to television shows, music, and movies, but the references aren't always ones I particularly like. This was different this week with the many references to Lost, Back to the Future, and Home Alone. With Back to the Future being one of my all-time favorite films, I really enjoyed seeing Peter riding through town on the skateboard just like Michael J. Fox.
The week's episode dealt with Peter winning ... Read More

Once again Chris finds himself getting the shaft at school. He initially likes being treated well after agreeing to do the homework of the school's star running back, but becomes overwhelmed with homework help requests. It's frustrating watching Chris sometimes; he rarely stands up for himself.
While Chris was spending all of his time helping out others, he neglected to maintain his own studies and ended up failing an important test, one which Greg did quite well on. I'm glad ... Read More

Much of this week's American Dad was surprisingly predictable. Stan's insecurity nearly cost him his relationship with Francine when he learned that Stan wasn't her first choice. It's sad to think that Stan would actually track down Francine's first choice to see what she missed out on and the guy seemed terrific, making Stan think that Francine settled when she chose him.
Things got a little predictable when Stan tested Francine's love by leaving with Roger for a period to see ... Read More

Up to this point, the Farscape cast hasn't made very many journeys to other planets. For me, seeing other planets and the cultures there is one of the things I look forward to with science fiction shows. I like to see if the writers are capable of creating diverse cultures. Here, they did manage to visit a new planet. The most unique characteristics about the people on this planet were the bleach blonde hair and the white eyes. ... Read More

It looks as though the MythBusters season finale is upon us. Discovery said we had eleven episodes left starting in August and "End With a Bang" not only sounds like a perfect name for a season finale, but it is also the eleventh episode.
The episode was another one which dealt with idioms, common phrases which go back generations. I used to be a fan of these, but these types of myths are rarely all that entertaining.
Can you polish a turd? ... Read More

"Coffin Punch" focused on whether or not you could punch your way out of a coffin and what is bulletproof.
The bulletproof myth that Jamie and Adam tackled was what I was most interested. I've always had an interest in these sorts of myths and they sadly get overlooked for ones which require the use of some sort of explosives. The guys can take a trip to the gun range just as easily and it doesn't require an entire FBI team ... Read More
