Every once in a while we’re introduced to Virginia’s (Martha Plimpton) other family members and they all seem to be interesting. They’re all quirky in their own way. Amy Sedaris was the perfect person to play Virginia’s stuck-up one-upper of a cousin, Delilah. Amy Sedaris is an actual comic so she looked completely comfortable in the role.

After seeing how awful Delilah could be, I was a little worried about how far Virginia was going to go. Taking photos of the bride making love ended up making her look foolish. To have the male stripper actually be the bride-to-be’s fiance was a genius twist.

Shannon Woodward as Sabrina
Shannon Woodward as Sabrina

Sabrina’s (Shannon Woodward) interest in getting back at Wyatt by going to Vegas with the Chance family so she had a “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” story didn’t exactly get that wild and crazy. I’m kind of glad it didn’t get out of hand. There was a lot going on with Burt (Garret Dillahunt) and Virginia. Having Sabrina (Lucas Neff) dance with Jimmy on the rooftop was silly, appropriate, and cute.

It actually reminded me of last week’s episode which made me think of where Sabrina sees herself in regards to her relationship with Jimmy. I just don’t think he’s just a friend. It’s only a matter of time before Wyatt either proposes or is out of Sabrina’s life.

The episode had plenty of comedy, but I really missed seeing Maw Maw (Cloris Leachman). She doesn’t have to have an integral role in every episode, but just seeing Cloris Leachman as Maw Maw tends to make an episode feel a little more complete. This episode could have benefit from her appearance.
