Did you know that Burt (Garret Dillahunt) was once kidnapped by a long-haired hippie? That was one of the craziest stories ever spun by Raising Hope. First Burt was kidnapped and then he wasn’t. It was a strange, but hysterical turn of events that took us places I never thought we’d go.

I want to first thank the writers for once again for the way they write the Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) character. It’s amazing how she’s basically another member of the family and is willing to club a drifter over the head with a tiny television after he was accused of kidnapping Burt.

I found Burt’s secret to be far funnier than the one Virginia (Martha Plimpton) told. But neither of them matched the one told by Maw Maw (Cloris Leachman). Her big secret stole the show. It makes a lot of sense for her to try to break Burt and Virginia up so that they would move out of her house, but I’m sure she would have eventually regretted it if she had been successful.

Cloris Leachman Drinking Milk

Watching Cloris Leachman down what appeared to be nearly half a gallon of milk was impressive. I don’t have a clue how much I could drink, but I’m not going to waste milk trying to find out. I’m certainly not going to clean up the mess when my stomach decides I’ve hit the limit!

Was anyone surprised when Jimmy (Lucas Neff) deleted the text message from Wyatt to Sabrina? I knew exactly what he was going to do before it actually happened. It’s nice to see Jimmy still trying to win Sabrina, even if he’s doing it dishonestly.

Sometimes I wonder how Sabrina views Jimmy. At times, Jimmy is clearly just a friend, but then there’s a hint of boyfriend once in a while. I have a tough time buying the “just a friend” argument. She’s with Jimmy a lot more than Jimmy’s other friends are with him. At some point, I’d like to just see Wyatt fall out of the picture so that Jimmy and Sabrina could officially become an item. I think it’s time.
