I’ve only mentioned American Chopper one other time on this blog and it had to do with the turmoil in the family. Tonight’s entry is strictly to do with the special Discovery aired tonight called “A Crew Divided.” I stopped watching after about fifteen minutes because of the ridiculousness.
I’m glad they actually acknowledged the show is produced… and I don’t mean that in a good way. American Chopper hasn’t felt naturally put together in a long time.
Early on in tonight’s special, the producers talked about how the production crew has had to be split up and that no interaction was allowed between the two. It’s one of the few times American Chopper made me laugh out loud in over a year.
If you’ve seen any of the spin-off series, American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior, you would know that’s complete bunk. I can’t tell you the number of times Paul Teutul, Sr. brings up something that happened over at Paul Jr. Designs’ garage that happened two scenes prior. How would Sr. know what’s going on over there people aren’t talking? Are we really expected to believe Sr. is suddenly either a mind reader?
I doubt Paul Teutul, Sr. is talking with his boys about events taking place and Paul Teutul, Jr. doesn’t strike me as the type who would tell all of Sr.’s underlings.
