“No Quarter” was one of the better episodes of Covert Affairs thus far. Annie (Piper Perabo) had a simple operation compromised by someone and it wasn’t clear who it was. The CIA has already expressed concerns about a mole and this episode made that likelihood all the more clear. Someone is leaking information to the press and it’s got all of the higher-ups concerned.
Joan (Kari Matchett) and Arthur (Peter Gallagher) had quite a fight this week and it wasn’t entirely personal. Much of it was due to the leak. How much one another knew and how they communicated it to one another became a problem, eventually becoming personal to some extent.
Auggie (Christopher Gorham) was brought into the fold when there were some concerns about him being the leak. His interrogation offered some interesting insights into Auggie’s character. His loss of sight has meant he has been unable to do the field work he enjoyed doing in the past.

Christopher Gorham as Auggie
We got to see in a pretty clear way that Auggie thinks more of himself than perhaps others do and that he ought to have a bigger role. Whether or not Auggie gets a promotion at some point remains to be seen, but I’m sure Auggie will try his best.
The Zurich mission was a lot of fun to watch play out. Annie was constantly doubting her contact, Eyal (Oded Fehr), a Mossad agent. I liked how the writers had Eyal doing questionable things all the time. It made both Annie and I presume most viewers skeptical about Eyal’s motives. It wasn’t until the end that it was clear Eyal wasn’t such a bad guy.
While Annie was able to complete her mission, I still have to wonder about everything that took place back in Langley during the mission. Auggie still looked upset at the end of the episode and from what I could tell, the CIA didn’t make very much progress with their search for the mole. I’m interested in learning who it is and why he/she did it.
