I’m ashamed to admit that I didn’t figure out the killer’s identity until pretty far into the episode. I just didn’t think Eugenia was the killer. Mr. Prescott and Jillian were clearly the most likely suspects and I completely overlooked the quiet Eugenia.
John Michael Higgins was outstanding as Clive Prescott. The Prescott character reminded me a lot of Cary Elwes’ character from the season premiere. They’re both unabashedly arrogant. He gave Shawn Spencer a solid run for his money with his class.

The Gus/Eugenia love plot was hysterical. She had absolutely no interest in Gus. The possibility of her being a lesbian never once crossed my mind. And yet it made perfect sense.
The writers did a good job of introducing multiple possible murder suspects. With Clive and Jillian the odds-on favorites for the murder of one of Clive’s former students, I was never open to a third suspect and I credit the writers for the way the episode unfolded. The murder plot was clever, even though it was a little slow going at times.
