This episode was very entertaining. So far this season of True Blood has been very good. It leaves us with cliff hangers every week. Another show by the name of Heroes used to do the same but this show does it better. You never know what to expect from a True Blood episode and you never know what kind of trouble the characters will get into. This episode was no exception.

Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse

Sookie found her way into some nasty trouble this episode. After a fight with bill in his car, she decides to jump out like a little girl and starts to walk home alone. She did this to make Bill follow her but any smart girl would realize that in a world of vampires it’s not too smart to walk alone in the woods. Sookie has definitely turned into a dumb blond.  She gets attacked by a creature with a bulls head and almost loses her life. Bill finds her badly wounded. He tries to tend to her with his blood but it doesn’t work. He freaks out and takes her to the only place he could, Fangtasia.

It is there where we got to see some nasty healing. The midget doctor literally dug her nails into Sookie’s back to take out the poison. The screams justified the pain which was hard to watch. After the poison was taking out Bill wanted to give Sookie his blood but Eric shortly intervened. He told Bill that his blood was richer and that he would be a more powerful source. It seems to me that Eric has a crush. Bill ignores his suggestion and feeds Sookie. They end up spending the night together at Fangtasia which proved to be a good idea. Sookie was able to find an old friend.

Sookie used her mind trick and found out where Lafayette was. He was all banged and bitten up but he was alive and not a vampire. She makes a deal with Eric that if he lets Lafayette go her and Bill will help him retrieve Godrick. Eric reluctanty agrees and lets his pet go. Lafayette confirmed what we were all thinking. He’s done with vampires!

Sam on the other hand can’t seem to break free from Maryann. His new trainee isn’t making things better for his business , he barely ever talks to Sookie and he seemingly upset Tara. It looks like Sam needs a vacation. He begins to ask people to take over the bar while he is away but finds an unsuitable candidate. He takes one last swim with his dog before he leaves. He sees Daphne by the lake. She claims she likes to take late night walks during this time and asks if she can go swimming with him. Sam is surprised by this offer and is even more surprised when she goes topless. I wonder how surprised he is going to be when he sees the scar on her back?

Tara and Jason both realize something very important in this episode. Jason realizes that the place he’s in isn’t for him. He tries to tell the others that all vampires aren’t bad. The others are strong believers in their faith and dismisses his claims. He tries to leave the camp but once again a pretty face tricks him into staying. It looks like Jason is finally drinking the kool aid of anti vampire church. I thought for once that Jason had smartened up. I’m glad Tara has though. She witnessed first hand the glory of Maryann’s parties and realized that it isn’t for her. Who wants to be at an orgy party anyway. It looks like Tara is going to move in with Sookie after all.

Michelle Forbes as Maryann Forrester

This episode was very good and it seems this season is going to be the best thing on HBO. We are going to have to wait for two whole weeks before we can get another juicy episode from True Blood. I’m dying to know how Bill feels about Jessica’s new boy toy. He is a real nice guy that is looking for a sweet girl. Jessica is nothing but sweet though or maybe she is. Bill should give her more credit next time around.
