This episode was one of the best this season. It may be the best episode for its entire run. It had action, suspense, good acting, a sad story, and beautiful women and men strutting their stuff. True Blood has gotten better and is easily one of the best taboos on television.

This episode begins with Lafayette in major trouble. He witnessed Eric eat up one of the captives from last week. Eric was disappointed to learn that his hairdo was messed up and needed a haircut. Lafayette was glad that it wasn’t him. Eric dragged him upstairs for questioning. It was there where Lafayette spilled the beans on everyone he knew, Including Jason. Eric was not pleased to hear the news but had no choice to let Jason’s bad deeds go. He needs his sister for a mission and doesn’t want to ruin it. He sends Lafayette back to his prison against his will. He remembers something important that one of the fellow prisoners told him and used it to his advantage. It was gruesome to watch but in certain situations you got to do what you need to do to escape. He finally does but only to get shot upstairs by one of the waitresses. It was a funny scene that carried comic relief to a jammed packed episode. What wasn’t funny was seeing Lafayette as Eric’s, Pam’s, and that other guy’s meal. Does this mean that Lafayette is dead or will he return as a vampire? Either way he still is going to be cool!

Sookie and Jessica got to hang out this episode. They really got to know one another and Sookie took it upon herself to be like a step mom to Jessica. This proved to be a wrong Idea. Jessica asks Sookie to take her to see her parents which lead to major trouble. We learned that Jessica was abused as a child and young girl. She used her vampire powers to seek revenge against her father. Bill comes to the family’s aid and wows the daughter to let him in. He gives Sookie a piece of his mind and tells her to get out. She asks him not to kill them but Bill reminds her that this is her mess and he has to clean it up. What will happen with Jessica and her family? Is bill going to kill them all? Is bill going to let Sookie have it next week? Let’s hope he does… Sookie really needs to be told off.

Jason seemed to be happy at his new home. He meets a lot of new people and makes instant friends. He has a creepy stalker that is jealous of his good looks and charm. At first I thought he was gay and maybe he still is. He told him that in a matter of time people will see through him and know that he is a fraud. This may be true since Jason still feels guilty for killing his gay vampire. This episode showed how conflicted Jason character has become and he is truly lost. I only hope he will find a way out of his slump before something real bad happens to him.

Tara has finally found a legitimate boy toy. He confused that he wants to be with Tara and his tired of playing games. For the first time the Tara character seems happy and it looks like she is on the right track. Mary Anne on the other hand seems to be enjoying playing with Sam’s mind. She has this weird power that can make anyone happy and feel the god in them. She also has the muniches and can turn Sam into a dog anytime she wants. She is an intriguing character that may cause more harm than good. I wonder what she really is? If she isn’t a vampire or a shape shifter then what can she be? A witch perhaps.

I liked the interaction between characters. From Bill to Eric to Sookie to Maryanne I didn’t sense one ounce of negligence on the actors parts. They all fit their roles well and are believable characters. It left use with many cliffhangers that will be resolved next week. I have to say this show keeps you on the edge of the seat at all times and I can’t get enough.

  1. This was an awesome episode. I’m liking the Eric character more and more I see him. I’m glad Lafayette wasn’t killed off like I feared he would.
