The soul Sam was responsible for retrieving was a little out of the ordinary because he kept escaping. Who was helping him escape was a mystery for a while. The soul managed to strike a deal with Gladys to allow him out. Whenever Sam brought the vessel back to the DMV, Gladys would let the guy out.
The sham green card marriage finally came to an end. And poor Ben got ripped off and I knew it would happen. He seemed more upset about spending a few times in jail than losing his $2,000 in savings. Ben has proven himself to be far too trusting of people.

Tony offered Sam some help with the deal with The Devil recently. Tony had a friend take a look at the contract and Tony was surprised to learn that someone tore out all of the pages that referred to the identity of Sam’s father. Towards the beginning of Reaper’s first season, we saw Sam’s father tearing out the pages, but it wasn’t until now that we got a little more information on this. Still, we don’t know why the pages were torn out. Some think that Sam is actually The Devil’s son.
