Sam’s ability to move things with extreme force returned with “Hungry For Fame” as he threw Sock across the parking lot at The Work Bench. This ability would come in handy when he was tasked with apprehending another soul.
The soul of the week was a cannibal who returned to eat a few more victims. While being introduced to the case, Sam also found that The Devil was trying to acquire a new soul via a new deal. A loser named Ryan has lost his girlfriend due to his passion for Rock n Roll. The Devil wanted to trade fame for Ryan’s soul, but Sam tried to stop Ryan from making such a foolish mistake.

Thomas Saunders as Phillip Carmona
Sock was going through some troubling changes this week thanks to the actions of his beloved mother who returned from Vegas with a new man that she just happened to marry. Sock was understandably upset by his mother’s actions. His feelings were only further hurt when mother announced that Sock would have to leave the nest. Sock leaving the nest?
I’m not sure I would have been quite as persistent as Sam was in saving Ryan from losing his soul. Ryan proved to be quite an idiot, ready to give it all up for a little bit of fame.
This episode of Reaper was filled with good story developments with the exception being the Ryan story. It was something that I could have lived without seeing. It’s tough to be interested in such a boring, idiotic character.
