This has to be one of the most difficult episodes i had to get through. It lacked excitement and most of the heroes’ actions were predictable. Consistency is not one of Heroes‘ strong points. Neither is the character of Claire Bennet.

Claire, for most of this episode, plays the most ignorant character in Heroes‘ history. She tries so hard to disobey her father on every turn, its starting to get annoying. All he wants her to do is stay out of trouble so she can live a normal life. Most kids would be thankful for that but Ms. Wonderwoman… she would rather listen to her phone than her father. The rebels tell her to warn another hero. He happens to work in a comic book store. Claire shows up and does what she was told to do but he didn’t believe her. After a good slice of self mutilation, he was ready to jump aboard. She helps him escape her father and the other agents before they could snatch him up. Her father continued to warn her after the incident but it went in one ear and out the other. She even decided to out him to her mother when she got home. This was a smart move because not only did we find out that she is a snitch, but H.R.G. must now find a new home. Her mother had enough of the lies and kicked him out of the house. What will happen to H.R.G now that he is out of the house and into the arms of the rebels? !?! It looks like they are really bringing the fight to their backyard.

Adrian Pasdar as Nathan Petrelli

Nathan had his own troubles as well. The agents still want Claire’s head for the deaths of their bodies and he has the US government breathing down his neck. They believe that Nathan is insane and are ready to bring it down. The appoint Abby Collins, played by Moira Kelly, to investigate. After seeing Tracy all chained up and cooking, she was ready to put this program on ice. Tracy managed to break free and kill one of the soldiers out of self defense.

After Abby witnessed this first hand, she quickly changed her mind. She approved the program and is willing to give it the money it needs to succeed. Tracy thought it was all part of Nathan’s plan for her to escape. Nathan realized that it was the hunter’s plan. How far will the hunter go to keep this project alive? I think Nathan now knows the demon he is dealing with it.

Slyar had his fun and games this episode. Luke, played by Dan Byrd, tried the whole episode to be Sylar’s friend. Slyar made it clear that the only reason he is alive is because he needs him to find his father. Luke continuously lies to Sylar about his father’s whereabouts. Slyar was getting tired of this kid until he made him remember a moment from his childhood. It seems that Luke and Sylar both had something in common at least when it came to Sylar’s dad.

Dan Byrd as Luke Campbell

Slyar finally gives in and takes the boy to a diner to feed him milkshakes.  The agents show up and try to take them both down again. Luke helps Sylar escape but gets left behind in the end. You could tell on the boy’s face that he was highly disappointed. His disappointment doesn’t last long because Sylar breaks him free from the other agents. Sylar tried to play it off by saying he only did it to retrieve a tracking device that could help him stay one step ahead of the agents. If this was true then way bother freeing the boy? It looks like Sylar has grown a liking to him.

Hiro and Ando was sent to India to find out what the drawing was all about. This plot was the most boring all season. Hiro saved an Indian hottie from being married to an evil ruler. That’s it! It’s nothing else really special to say other than it was a waste of time. They could have came up with something much better than this. They wanted to show that Hiro can be a hero without powers but the way it was done made me yawn. I hope next week they can put these two in a more entertaining spotlight.

Overall, this episode was decent at best. It’s an episode that we can easily forget. Other than H.R.G getting kidnapped by the rebels, nothing really exciting happened. Ando is still a screwup and needs Hiro to be his guide. Claire is still annoying, Tracy has yet to get tortured,  and Sylar has a new buddy. Next week episode seems more promising since it will feature mostly H.R.G. I wonder what side he will choose…
