This episode begins with Hiro and Ando looking over the comic book that future Hiro gave him. He realizes that the comic isn’t finished. He goes to Issac’s loft hoping that he is still alive but instead sees him dead on the floor. They realize that Sylar got to him and that he is still there. They hide behind a painting when Sylar emerges from the bathroom. He can hear their heartbeat through the painting while they are standing on opposite sides. He flings the painting to the opposite side of the room only to find nothing. Hiro and Ando teleported out of the room to safety.
They were unaware of Sylar’s change of heart though. He called Mohinder for help but Mohinder wanted no piece of Sylar. He tried calling the police but Sylar could hear him dialing. He hangs up the phone and gets in touch with his mother. He pays her a visit hoping that she could end his desire to destroy New York City. All he wants is power and not to destroy innocent people. His mother is happy to see him but when he shows her his ability she goes into a frenzy. She locks him out of her room due to her fear. She comes out of her hole only to fight with Sylar. It ends with Sylar accidentally killing his mother by stabbing her with scissors. Hiro was looking on and saw his chance to rid the world of Sylar but failed. He ended up breaking Kenshi’s sword and Hiro and Ando had no choice but to flee. Sylar ends up accepting his fate and is now ready to destroy the city.

Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura
Nathan was asking Claire to leave town because he didn’t want her to get hurt from the blast. Even though he knows she can heal, he doesn’t want to see her hurt. It looks like Nathan has fallen in line with his mother and Linderman and is going to allow the city to be blown up. Peter, on the other hand, wants the bomb to stop. He tells Claire if he can’t stop the bomb, then she needs to shoot him in the head. Claire doesn’t want to but he shows her his drawings of the massacre. She unwillingly agrees and takes the gun. Can Claire pull the trigger on her uncle or will she let the city be destroyed? I hope she has the guts to pull the trigger.
Micah is having a good time with his mother. It’s a shame that it’s not really her. Candice does everything in her power to keep him from leaving the room. She has him watching cartoons and playing video games like a loser without a goal in life. I swear that joke was not about me. He figures this out and tries to escape. She pulls a mean trick on him by having him run around in circles. She tells him that she can do a whole lot worse and that Linderman isn’t the man to mess with. What does Linderman have in store for Micah? I bet it has something to do with that election coming up.
His parents, Niki/Jessica and DL, are on the hunt looking for him. DL takes Jessica to Linderman’s secret office and finds out that he has been keeping records on them for a long time. They believe that they are part of some weird science experiment and that they are the only ones who can do these things. The writers did a great job keeping them sheltered from everyone else. I can’t wait to see the looks on their faces when they realize they aren’t the only ones with special abilities.
Mohinder joins the company but only to find a cure for Molly. It seems like she is sick with the same virus that killed his sister. He builds a great friendship with the little girl and is working his hardest to find a cure. After all, the company does need the tacking system to find people. I wonder if this is the same tracking system that H.R.G. and his crew of bandits want to kill. By episode’s end, H.R.G., Claire, Ted, Peter, and Matt all meet up. Pete begins to absorb Ted’s powers and it looks like he is about to explode! Of course, he isn’t going to. I mean there are at least 2 more episodes left. I bet someone is going to knock him out or H.R.G. is going to coach him on how to control it. This episode was well done and I can’t wait for the last episodes to come around. Are these heroes really going to save the city? Let’s hope so!
