More lies, more back-stabbing, and more death. Yeah, it’s Prison Break alright. I’m finding it difficult to wait each week for each episode for some reason. I’m not sure if it’s because this is the final season and I’m hoping the writers bring the story to a satisfactory end or if it’s something else entirely, but I’m definitely glued to my seat this year.
The thing with Michael Scofield and Don Self at the end of last week’s episode felt a little too much like George W. Bush. Bush’s “bring it on” line to the terrorists was a ridiculous misstep on his part and Michael’s line of “then come and get it” was pretty much the same thing… more silly bravado than was necessary.
Sucre did a great job in hiding in that trunk. I find it difficult to believe that he wouldn’t be rolling around a little in there though. Surely Gretchen or Don would have heard him moving about.

Michael (Wentworth Miller, back) tracks down Self (Michael Rapaport, front)
While the medical crap was still present, it was still boring. This hasn’t even been in the story for all that long and I’m already tired of it. And to top it off, those injections continued with Sara warning Michael about them each time. I never thought it was a good idea to take them and they didn’t seem to help a whole heck of a lot.
Of all the business that went on, I was most interested in T-Bag and his housemates. They all got an unwelcome visitor when a bible salesman came a knocking one day. As soon as T-Bag saw the ring, he knew the guy was from the Company. He would later let him go in a very dramatic scene only to regret it. I’m a believer in trusting your instinct. It’s often right and T-Bag’s was right too. His second-guessing cost him dearly, but I’m not counting him out just yet. As long as T-Bag’s heart is beating, he’s one sneaky, dangerous SOB.
I was very disappointed with the Alex Mahone story. There’s no way on Earth I would have trusted the guy he was asked to trust. And Alex’s old partner’s hesitations pretty much told everything. Mahone looks to escape next week, but it’s a dangerous move, jumping out of a moving car like that. Mahone’s not as smart as I thought he was.
General’s book entitled Tombstone II had me intrigued towards the end. I wonder if it has something to do with Michael and Lincoln’s father. Whatever it is, I’m sure Lincoln will go along with the general, but I’m wondering how much help the general will give him. Lincoln and his friends are shrinking in numbers and with Self not on their side, they could use more help.
I’m looking forward to next week’s episode. I was shocked to see Westmoreland in the preview. I can’t believe he’s back on the show. It’s not a bad thing, mind you; I just hope he’s used in a worthy manner.
