The beginning of this new episode of The Simpsons felt a little out of place. The city was taking down all of the Christmas decorations when it was Thanksgiving that just took place. I know the writers are trying to mock at the speed in which we go from one holiday to the next, but I didn’t think it was as strong of a joke as it could have been.

It isn’t often that Bart Simpsons meets a new friend and I though Bashir could turn out to be a decent new friend for Bart to pal around with in the future. Bashir’s unique name was mocked by the school bullies when they claimed his name was “bash here,” and joked about how they like it when kids come with instructions. That was one of the funnier moments.

Way to go, Homer

Although the show had a lot of commentary with religion, tolerance, etc, I enjoyed the poking fun at Apple to be more entertaining. I’m not an Apple customer and seriously doubt I ever will be. Their products look nice and all, but to me, it’s just another company which sells vastly overpriced electronics. And it just happens to have a freakish cult-like following.

I absolutely loved that scene in the Apple store where Bart took over the intercom and made it look like he was speaking for Steve Mobs (Jobs) It was one of the few scenes in which I laughed out loud, a rarity with The Simpsons. I thought this episode was quite good, offering up commentary on not just the modern society’s way of doing business but also some religion and tolerance stuff too. Poor Duff Beer though. They lost two trucks of beer, though Homer made an attempt to save a few cases.
