Once again Chris finds himself getting the shaft at school. He initially likes being treated well after agreeing to do the homework of the school’s star running back, but becomes overwhelmed with homework help requests. It’s frustrating watching Chris sometimes; he rarely stands up for himself.

While Chris was spending all of his time helping out others, he neglected to maintain his own studies and ended up failing an important test, one which Greg did quite well on. I’m glad that Greg’s back to being a normal kid. Those first few episodes of this season had him acting quite differently and didn’t really work.

Terry Crews as Julius Rock

Julius is no stranger to taking on additional jobs to help pay the bills. He took on a third job in this episode, helping out Mr. Omar with his funeral service. Julius was tasked with picking up and delivering dead bodies. The new line of work not only gave Julius a new revenue stream, but it also gave him a new look at life.

It’s easy to see how being surrounded by death for a few hours every day can make one change their view of things, but this was quite a transformation. I never thought I’d see a man like Terry Crews hop and skip around in joy. He typically plays hardened criminals in films, so this was a very different Terry Crews, even if it was just for a few seconds.

I didn’t find the plot to be all that funny. It didn’t have enough comedic substance to really belong as the main story for a sitcom episode. Frankly, the subplot surrounding Julius had more funny moments. One of my favorites was a question posed by Julius’ daughter, Tonya. When she saw how happy and joyous her father was, she asked him if he was planning on leaving the family for a white woman. Haha! The writers may not be very good at making great episodes, but they do manage to bring a great one-liner once in a while.
