While Michael Scofield and company inch their way closer to retrieving the Scylla card data, the Company continues to put up a fight, killing off anyone who seems to be poking around. Don Self’s informant, a former Company man lost his life this week thanks to Wyatt, who is doing a fine job this year of adding to the show’s body count.

In order to pick up data on the second card holder, they had to track her down to a police officer’s benefit, which seemed to have a quarter of Los Angeles’ police officers in attendance. Scofield and his team didn’t run into any problems with this, dressing up as police officers to fit in with the crowd. The biggest problem I had with the episode was the break-in. What door installers leave the hinge on the outside?! That was rather far-fetched for me.

Brad Bellick, who has expressed some doubts as to whether or not they should go through with the deal with the government, stepped up his commitment when he had to help Lincoln Burrows with a Company security guard, who was about to kill Lincoln after IDing him. I liked that Lincoln thanked him towards the end of the episode. He knows that Brad isn’t one to resort to violence all the time nowadays.

Michael (Wentworth Miller), Lincoln (Dominic Purcell), and T-Bag (Robert Knepper)

The most stunning (and puzzling) moment came when it was revealed that the hacker seems to have ulterior motives. He denied getting any card-relevant data when he was asked about it by Lincoln. So he’s working with/for someone else, the only question is why. We saw a man get stabbed when Cole Pfeiffer (now portrayed by T-Bag) didn’t make the meeting. I’m really intrigued by all of that story; I haven’t figured it all out yet.

Sara made a pretty poor move with her leaving the relative safe haven the government has given her and her friends. Although I understand how terrible it is to lose a family member, she ended up putting herself and her friends in harms way when Wyatt managed to track her down. I have to admit that I’m really looking forward to seeing Mahone react to seeing Wyatt. Or even if there will be a showdown. I just hope it doesn’t end quickly… for either of them. I’d rather not see it go down like Indiana Jones when he shot that sword-wielding henchman in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I really enjoyed this episode, despite my concerns when Michael and company were able to get through that door so quickly. The writers managed to wrap up a few things, but also introduced new plot twists. The thing with the asians and T-Bag/Cole Pfeiffer has me very interested in seeing how it plays out in the coming weeks. I just hope the MLB playoffs don’t interrupt things for too long.
