Now that we’ve got a basic understanding of who is involved, it’s time for the space adventure to get underway. They didn’t have to go too far, as the Peacekeepers managed to get a beacon aboard the Moya and it’s been activated, sending out an annoying sound to attract the Peacekeepers.
Although Pilot was able to disable the internal sound, Pilot wasn’t able to stop the Peacekeepers from hearing it. John spoke up and suggested landing the Moya in water. A nearby planet which was similar to Earth had a large bog/swamp which proved to be a good place to land. It silenced the beacon, but they can’t stay there forever, of course.

John, Aeryn Sun, and Ka D’Argo formed a search party to find a substance which could be applied to the living craft known as Moya so that the beacon could be cut away without killing Moya. Not intimately familiar with the plots of most sci-fi TV episodes, I suspect theses little search parties are probably common.
Zhaan, the priest, was forced to step up in a major way when the Moya had to be operated on. She had to share some of the Moya’s pain in an attempt to keep her alive.
Aeryn Sun was still very much in Peacekeeper combat mode in this episode. Claudia Black, who plays the Peacekeeper, is attractive, but the constant scowling doesn’t really make her look very sexy.
For John, he got to not only find this mystery substance but also meet a mother and son who are much like Earthlings. They believe aliens exist but have never seen one, so it’s an interesting interaction with the son and mother. I liked that stun gun the family had; it packs quite a punch, while also not being lethal.
