Dance Machine — 8:00pm ET/PT on ABC. Series Premiere — Each episode features six real people from all walks of life who will face off in a series of one-on-one “dance-offs” to the most popular songs of all time. Imagine a 70-year-old grandmother in a dance-off with a 25-year-old gravedigger to the tune of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Throughout the night contestants will be eliminated by voters in the studio audience. By the end of the evening, just two finalists will be left to challenge each other for the honor of being crowned that night’s “Dance Machine” and to take home $100,000 in cash. DJ Rodney Perry spins the tunes.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory — 8:00pm ET/PT on Disney. A poor boy and four bratty kids win a magical mystery tour of a candy factory owned by an eccentric chocolatier (Johnny Depp). A wonderfully whimsical, visually inventive fantasy directed by Tim Burton. Freddie Highmore, David Kelly. The Ant Bully — 8:00pm ET/PT on Cartoon Network. After flooding an ant hill, a boy finds himself shrunk to insect size and forced to live among his victims in this routine computer-animated feature. Julia Roberts, Nicolas Cage, Meryl Streep, Bruce Campbell, and Paul Giamatti.
Cold Mountain — 8:00pm ET/PT on Oxygen. While waiting for her beau to return from the Civil War, a woman struggles to keep her farm afloat. The film was nominated for six other Oscars, including Best Cinematography. Nicole Kidman, Jude Law, Renee Zellweger, Donald Sutherland, and Ray Winstone.

First, she explores the coffeehouses of Portland with a visit to World Cup Coffee & Tea. Next, she grabs a seat at Family Supper for a delicious home-cooked meal. After that, she uncovers Portland’s past with a visit to Hobo’s for scallops, and explains the purpose of Portland’s Underground Tunnels. Finally, it’s off to the Blue Monk for outstanding Italian upstairs, and cool Jazz music downstairs.

Doctor Who: “Forest of the Dead” — 9:00pm ET/PT on SciFi Channel. As the shadows rise, the Doctor forges an alliance with the mysterious River Song.
Duel — 9:00pm ET/PT on ABC. Season Premiere — In a cutting edge format combining trivia challenges like those on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire with the strategy played in the “World Series of Poker” — contestants find themselves in intense head-to-head matches, reacting quickly under pressure and outsmarting their opponents by using strategy and deception, as well as intellect and skill, in the race to win big money. Each episode will feature a new group of contestants vying to duel either the previous week’s winner or a brand new opponent. The goal of each contestant is to win a series of duels and take home the $500,000 jackpot. But along the way, contestants will be tempted to leave the game and walk away with their accumulated winnings.
Numb3rs: “Nine Wives” — 9:00pm ET/PT on CBS. Repeat — When a teenage girl is found almost beaten to death, Don and his team discover that she escaped from a polygamous cult headed by a fundamentalist leader who is on the run from the FBI. They discover that the girl’s mother, who is also a religious zealot, “gave” her daughter to the leader. Meanwhile, Charlie and Amita try to decipher a chart that was found at the leader’s last known location, hoping it will lead them to him.
Diners, Drive-ins and Dives: “Comfort Food” — 9:00pm ET/PT on Food Network. Repeat — Guy Fieri uncovers some of America’s greatest comfort food including a Baltimore cafe with a variety of French Toast, a third-generation family place in San Antonio with comfort food Texas style, a bakery-turned-restaurant in south Florida and a Huntington, W.V. cafe with home made cornbread.

Repeat — Guy Fieri tracks down great tastes from all over the world including a Phoenix mom-and-pop joint with a mix of Mexican, Chinese and Caribbean food; a classic diner outside Atlanta with a menu full of homemade Greek specialties; and a tiny Kansas City place with the globe-trotting chef who brings back recipes from from Asia to Central America.

However, Charlie is put in a difficult situation when the National Security Agency (NSA) also requests his help to find the yacht for the confidential case they are working on. Meanwhile, Liz and Don try to figure out a way to make their personal relationship work after she is permanently transferred to LA.
