After a very mediocre last episode. The Soprano’s came back with a bang. While Pussy and Jimmy are playing poker the F.B.I. raids the bar and finds weapons and money there. The next day Tony gets a call from the private detective that’s on his payroll and the detective tells Tony that Pussy is wearing a wire and has been giving information to the police. Since this is Tony’s friend, Tony wants to make absolutely sure that the person wearing the wire is really Pussy. He tells Paulie to do the hit, but tells him to be one hundred percent sure that it’s him.

What was great was the fact that everything Pussy did added up. Then it was all but confirmed when Pussy refused to take his clothes off when Paulie took him to the spa. With Dr. Melfi’s advice on what causes backpains. Everything that was said just further added more truth to the fact that Pussy was wearing a wire. After Jimmy gets out, Tony realizes that it’s Jimmy who was wearing the wire and that the detective got them mixed up. Tony is now worried whether Paulie made the hit or not, because if he did Tony just whacked an innocent man.

There were some huge great performances from James Gandolfini in this episode. James really makes you feel every emotion from Tony. This whole season we’ve never seen Tony emote as much as he did this episode, you could really feel how sad he was that Pussy could possibly be the rat. As it seems it looks like Pussy is still alive even though they have no idea where he right now. Being in the mob isn’t easy, and Tony shows that. It’s the only job where you have to kill your best friends, and to kill your best friend and it turns out he was innocent would have to weight heavily on your conscious. The Sopranos doesn’t try to glamorize the mob as some television does, but it instead gives a sense of reality about it, but gives us the sense of reality about it, and that it’s not as easy as it may seem.

The episode kept us on the edge of our seats the whole episode and it’s good to hear that Pussy is staying, because he’s a good character. They even gave us more of the Uncle Junior storyline and it looks like Uncle Junior is finally getting ready to make a move on Tony. Thanks to Livia who we’re not sure if she’s purposely playing them against each other or if she’s just crazy it looks like it’ll be Soprano vs Soprano heading into the finale and all I have to say is we can’t wait. This was absolutely a great episode and the best of the season so far.
