Two of my very favorite TV shows on USA will be getting two relatively famous women for a few guest spots. Battlestar Galactica star Tricia Helfer will joining Burn Notice for a few episodes. She’ll be playing Carla, Michael’s handler. To protect those close to him, Michael reportedly has to work for Carla.
I don’t watch Battlestar Galactica, but whenever I see Helfer in the commercials, I pay attention. LOL.
And for Psych, Shawn’s mother has been cast: Cybill Shepherd. I’ve been waiting for them to cast the mother since the pilot and it took them two entire seasons to get around to it. In the pilot, we learned that Shawn was closer to his mother than his father; he helped her move. Why we’ve never met his mother has never made any sense to me, quite frankly.
I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned the new series In Plain Sight, so I’ll do it now since I’m mentioning USA shows. It’s another comedy/drama like Psych, Burn Notice, and Monk. It stars Mary McCormack as Mary Shannon, a U.S. Marshal working in WITSEC. She’s good at her job, but she has a tougher time dealing with her dysfunctional family. The only place you’ll see this show mentioned is during USA’s commercials. I haven’t seen very much advertising elsewhere. Anyway, the show’s premiere is being bumped up a week, from June 8th to June 1st.

Yeah, same here. Wow, she’s hot
And I love how they place her right in the middle–makes it…easier to spot her
