Just the other day, I blogged about the price of the first season DVD box set of Burn Notice. I was hoping for some sort of mistake, but it’s now official. The first season (eleven episodes) will be sold for $50. $40 would have been more appropriate in my opinion. I’ll be looking for an online rebate from FYE come June. They don’t always offer rebates, but when they do, it’s often cheaper than what I can get it for on Amazon and elsewhere.

The one thing I like about the box set is there is going to be episode commentary for each episode. Though the press release says the commentary is “scene-specific”, whatever that means.

Where’s the Blu-Ray release? This is something I’m paying more attention to now that the format wars are over. This show looks fantastic in HD. Gabrielle Anwar (Fiona) in HD is a sight to see, believe me.

  1. Gabrielle Anwar is hot in standard definition, I could only imagine her in HD…It is a shame that the producers of the show didn’t think to release an HD version.
