Breaking Bad has shown itself to be a terrific show, but not something that’s particularly family friendly. I can’t recommend the show to everyone I know because it’s decidedly dark and gruesome. But, wow, I’m not sure how many shows can be dark, gruesome, and keep you on the front of your seat.
Walter made a deal with Jesse last week to kill the guy (Crazy-8) in the basement. He’s been tip-toeing around the issue, trying to find any excuse not to. In fact, he even sat down and made a list of reasons why and why not to kill Crazy-8. When it seemed Walter was going to let him go, he realized Crazy-8 had lied about him having no intentions about getting revenge.
I didn’t understand how Crazy-8 could have reached a piece of the broken plate though. The broken shard of plate was too far away from him to reach it in my opinion. To me, it seemed like a way for the writers to get Walter to have to kill Crazy-8, and boy did he. He strangled him while being stabbed in the leg. That was one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen and it looked completely real.
All that being said, I have to give the writers credit for not having everything resolve itself in between episodes. Often is the case that a character finds himself in a bad situation and by the time the next episode airs, that problem is mysteriously resolved.
With Walt’s brother-in-law in the DEA, I wonder how long Walt can keep his secrets a secret. It looks like the DEA is beginning to follow Walt’s trail. It’s only a matter of time before this goes bad for Walt.
Now that it looks like Walt is going to confess his cancer to his wife, Skyler, this is going to take the rest of the season down a different road. She has been in the dark on nearly everything. I seriously doubt he’ll confess his meth lab business to her.
With just seven episodes planned for the first season, I’m wondering how long this series can actually last. The writers could quite frankly wrap up the series in four more episodes, but I’m hoping for another season.

I think Crazy 8 could have reached a shard, because it slid along the concrete.
I really didn’t think he was going to have the shard, though. I thought he’d be killed and then Walter would find the shard in a corner of the basement or something.
Did I miss something? What happened to C8’s body?

I think it depends on which shot you look at. I noticed in a shot or two after the original (when Walter fell down) that everything appeared to be moved closer to Crazy-8.
As for his body, I’m suspecting Walter will deal with it in the next episode.
