The show opens with a teaser of content from the show, which involves everything from Harriet Miers to… Harriet Miers.

Stephen starts off by complaining about the albino pumpkins which are gaining some fame. Stephen then complained about Russ Lieber who also complains about the pumpkins.

Stephen moved onto tonight’s “The Word”, which was “Quitters”, which was all about Harriet Miers.

After tearing Harriet Miers a new one, Stephen felt a little bad, and decided to put her photo on one of his shelves, along with other Supreme Court nominees which weren’t approved.

Back from commercial, Stephen discusses congressional districts in a segment called “Better Know Your District”. Stephen offered a complete profile of the fourth district of Massachusetts. Stephen actually went there to interview Congressman Barney Frank.

Back from commercial, Stephen welcomes tonight’s guest, Jeff Daniels. Stephen ends up ambushing Jeff Daniels about how little he knows about the place he lives.

To end the show, Stephen checks in with the network’s morning show.

The interview with Barney Frank was a little funny and awkward. It reminded me a lot like the interviews Stephen did on The Daily Show. His interview with Jeff Daniels was hilarious, especially the ending comment by Jeff Daniels - “It was just shy of an honor.”
